Obituary of Irene Elizabeth TOULGOET

June 15, 1933 – Barnwell, Alberta
November 10, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Irene Toulgoet, of Calgary, AB, on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

When her kids were growing up, she enjoyed spending family time fishing, hiking and exploring nature with them. Later on, Irene enjoyed many fun-filled visits with her grandchildren and her great-grandson. Her most favourite times were celebrating family birthdays picnicking and mini golfing at Bowness Park.  Her love of gardening kept her busy all summer and her charity work filled her with enjoyment and great purpose. Mom often said to us, “I am having the best life!”

Irene is survived by her daughters, Gail (Ken) Tebin, and Wendy (Dave) Craig; sons, Peter (Lori) Toulgoet and Dan (Sheila Hansen) Toulgoet; grandchildren, Brent, Joel, Sean, Alison and Thomas; great-grandson Jack, brother Joe Haracsi, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Patrick Toulgoet, and sisters, Isabelle Birney and Helen Vignola.
