Condolences
Just heard about your mom passing, what a beautiful, special lady, inside and out with the biggest heart. She looked after Chakra for four months of the year and we would sometimes walk the dogs together. Chakra loved her so much, I would come back after two months and when we shared a cuppa tea, he would rest his chin on her feet, not mine. She was his second mum. I am so very sorry for your loss. The world was a brighter place with her in it. We will miss her very much. My heart breaks for you all.
In honour of Anne, I am applying to have the City of Calgary off-leash area from 90th Ave SW down to Anderson Rd named Anne Arnold Park
Hello Keith and Family
I am so very, very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. We were your neighbours in Oakridge when your family lived on Oakfield Drive. We were such good friends with you and Duncan playing back and forth with Kelly and Michael. Your mom and I used to walk your dogs each morning before anyone else was up and I have many fond memories from those days. Your mom, Ingrid Thom and I used to get together every week for a coffee and sewing afternoon. Lots of good times to remember. We are in our thoughts and prayers.

I've just learned that we have lost Anne. What a treasure of a lady. I absolutely loved meeting her in the dog park. She was such a lovely lady. My sincere condolences to her family. RIP Anne.
Anne was a wonderful, caring friend to me and my family for over 15 years. I met her at Father Doucet school when I would pick up my son Nathan from Kindergarten and she would pick up her grand daughter Lauren. I feel so lucky to have met her. I loved to have tea and scones with her on her back deck or mine, chat, share some laughs, she had such a great sense of humour. She was a great listener. She patiently helped me and my daughters with sewing and knitting projects over the years. We shared of love of gardening. She always took such a great interest my children, Allison, Anna and Nathan and she was a very special person in their lives.
She was also a wonderful caregiver to our dog Sophie. She would always go crazy when she saw her, Anne was one of her favourite people. In the summer, she would take Sophie for a couple of weeks. We called it summer camp for Sophie, because it was so fun for her. She would no doubt get into some kind of trouble when she was young, like rolling in a dead porcupine or laying in a particularly smelly pool of water. Anne would always tell us about it later with a laugh, say I think I got it all out, she would sort it out. My sincerest condolences go out to her family. We miss her very much. Kris, Joe, Allison, Anna and Sophie.
Goodbye, my dear friend. I think I first met you in the park nearly 15-20 years ago! Such larks we had sharing our experiences of growing up in England. Those long, lovely walks. You gave me the loveliest card in 2006 when my old Meg passed away. Since then there has been Nell & Bruce, and now Luna - you knew them all. You had a special caring about people that meant you always remembered our names. Bless your heart. After my own mother passed away in 2018, you were the best thing that could happen to me in a day! I hoped to run into you every time I got to the park. I miss you every day, as I know so many of us do. My deepest sympathy go out to the family. What a special lady, full of grace. R.I.P. Anne
So sorry to hear about Ann's passing. I worked with Ann at the old Calgary District Hospital Group when she ran the Long Service Awards program. We reconnected after we had both retired when she looked after our chocolate lab, Mo, when we went on holidays. She was the kindest and most gracious soul you could imagine and both Penny and I send our deepest sympathies to her family friends.
Anne was such a lovely person. The kind of person that truly makes the world a better place. She looked after my black lab Balzac, so that I never had any anxiety when I was away from him. Balzac loved Anne and her grandchildren. Thank you Anne!
Anne, a lovely soul with the bluest eyes and whitest hair. I met Anne at the RGH . She worked with fundraising which helped the early days of our grief support program. Then she moved to a program where she was involved with honoring staff with long service awards. She was very thoughtful and kind with all of us.
After her retirement from AHS we had another involvement with Anne which was looking after our dog Buddy when we went on holidays. She truly had a passion for her dogs. Especially Maya and Cricket.
Thanks so much Anne. Bob and Joan
I was so sad to hear of Anne's passing; it came as such a shock when I saw a notice in the off-leash park. In years past I often walked there with Anne, and we had so many good conversations and shared so many laughs. One day it was really muddy and she was wearing these boots that kept making sucking sounds in the mud as she walked, and she had so many dogs on-leash that she kept getting tangled up in all of the leashes as they frolicked about her in the mud, and it was so ridiculous that finally we both just stood there and laughed until tears were running down our cheeks. Another time she had put all of her dogs into the car and went to close the back but managed to slam it on her head, got a big goose-egg, and we both laughed ourselves silly again. Anne had such a positive, fun energy about her, it made it easy for everyone who met her to like her. She will be dearly missed.
Our entire family, four and two leggee adored Anne. She was vibrant, elegant to a fault, funny and endearingly sweet. When she came to our parties, she was the perfect guest and everyone who met her there enjoyed her company. I spoke to her just before thanksgiving to ask her to dinner, and we had such a nice chat. I sat in my chair and wept when I heard she had left us. She was a good friend to me and to my dogs, and, I suspect, a welcome face in any circumstances. I will miss her terribly. I know her family will miss her ever so much but they were fortunate to have her as an integral part of their lives for so long. The world lost some of its brightness when Anne departed.
So sorry to read about Anne’s passing in the Calgary Herald. Please accept my deepest condolences. My thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.
My deepest sympathies to Anne’s family. I met Anne at the 37th street off leash area many years ago and have fond memories of joining her pack with my dogs. Anne looked after our dogs on several occasions. She was a lovely lady and will be missed.
Sweet Anne introduced me to the job of my life & we shared many memories while dancing away a Saturday evening. How gracious, understanding & compassionate she was. Another angel to watch over us. Condolences to family& prayers & peace. Jeanne bunka
Dear Keith, Leanne, Lauren & Brendan,
Anne will be sadly missed by us. She was a kind, compassionate, lovely lady.
A wonderful 'Nannie Anne' to her own grandchildren and all the other children who loved her dearly,
She was a super kind Master to all the dogs she owned and cared for over the years.
We pray your memories bring you comfort at this difficult time.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Love,
Jean-Anne & Brian
