Obituary of Martha Chambers MARTIN (nee Sterritt)

Martha Martin of Okotoks, AB, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at the age of 88 years.

Born in Toronto, ON to Joseph and Grace Sterritt on July 9, 1932, Martha worked as a book keeper until she met her soulmate, Douglas, and married in 1959.

Martha was the heart of her family. Wife to Douglas, mother to son Bruce and daughter Lois, she enjoyed all things family and friends. She welcomed Shannon into the family and was overjoyed by the arrivals of her grandsons Cole and Luke.

Her adventurous and creative spirit kept her learning, trying new things and expanding her circle of friends while raising her family. She returned to work with the Calgary Board of Education combining her love of reading and children. Martha enjoyed travelling the world with Doug, camping closer to home, crafting and quilting. She loved being with her family and friends. She always had such a positive outlook on life; Martha will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
