Obituary of Sam HUYNH

Sam Huynh, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at the age of 86 years.

Sam was born in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. She lived in Vietnam for several years before immigrating to Canada in the mid-1980s. Sam accomplished much throughout her incredible life and inspired many with her wisdom. She possessed many talents and was a gifted seamstress. Sam was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her courage, strength, and wonderful sense of humour.

Sam was predeceased by her husband Thoai Vinh Tran. Sam is survived by seven children: sons, Chun Men Tran (Leeann Tran), Chi Men Tran (Lan Ngoc Tran), Yen Tran (Ling Chan), Soy Chan (Wenyi Yang), Norman Chan (Guang Yan Huang); and daughter Pich Chan. Sam is further survived by many other relatives, including niece Cherry Huynh, with whom she was very close. Sam will be forever remembered by her many grandchildren, Sherri, Julie (Maurice), Connie, Ellen (Michael), Victor, Michael, Ady, Jackie, Amelia, Nolan, Galen, and Philip. She will also be missed by her great-grandson, Henry Jiabao.

The funeral will be held at Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home (2720 Centre St NE) on the morning of Monday, November 30, 2020.
