Condolences
My memories of Pat go back to my high school years when we used to spend time at the Walsh residence. At first he intimidated me, serious looking and quiet. As I got to know him I realized how witty he was, how observant, how gentle. Good characteristics for raising three girls. I’m laughing as I remember how Brenda crashed the car (can I say that now) and how she concocted a story because she was so worried about what he would say. Luckily only the car was harmed in that story. Finally, of all odd things that impressed me is how the cribbage score was kept year after year with such discipline - who does that! My condolences to all of you. To steal a crib metaphor, goodbye Pat, your life was a perfect 29.
Our sympathy goes out to Brenda, Patricia and Mary on the loss of their Father.
Ed remembers his Uncle Paddy and Aunt Millie fondly from their time living in Toronto and during his trips to Toronto to visit his sister and Ed’s mother -Lauretta.
Ed worked for his Uncle Paddy when he managed the Canadian Tire Store at Yonge and Davenport when stock boys used roller skates in the store’s warehouse to get product for the customers.
Sigrid met Paddy and Millie several times when they visited Lauretta, travelling to Toronto in their Motorhome and affectionately remembers the cut-throat Cribbage games , we played during their visits.
Wishing you many Happy Trails in Heaven, Uncle Paddy
My heartfelt condolences to the Walsh family on the sad loss of Patrick Walsh. My thoughts and prayers are with my Aunt Millie, Brenda, Mary, Patricia and their families. The loss of a love one is the saddest thing that we have to deal with as human beings especially when it's the loss of such a good man. My Uncle Paddy was an important part of my life from the beginning on Valermo Ave. in Alderwood. Even when he and his family left Toronto he returned to visit many times from Cochrane, New Brunswick and Calgary. I visited him and his family often in Calgary. I was always welcomed with open arms and treated as a member of their family. Each trip was a very enjoyable experience. My Uncle Paddy wasn't just an uncle, he was a great friend to me and the Reid family. He will be sorely missed but he definitely made my World a much nicer place. I will even forgive his Montreal Canadiens for upsetting my Pittsburg Penguins this year. Rest in Peace Uncle Paddy.
My thoughts go out to your family on the passing of Patrick. I hope the many wonderful memories you have lighten your spirits at this sad time.
