Obituary of Clarence Douglas MCGREGOR

January 17, 1931 - North Battleford, Saskatchewan
December 5, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Clarence Douglas McGregor of Calgary, AB passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Bethany Care in Calgary. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-eight years, Mae, his two beautiful daughters, Ellen (Dean) and Allison (Brent); brother-in-law Ed Martin, and countless friends and relatives.

Clarence was born in North Battleford, SK on January 17, 1931. He lived life to the fullest and worked as a heavy duty mechanic around western and northern Canada, before finally settling in Saskatoon to raise his family. Upon retirement in 1997, Mae and Clarence started spending winters in Kelowna before moving there for a few years; finally coming to Calgary to be closer to his two daughters.

He enjoyed fishing and loved to fix or tinker around with anything that may (or may not) need to be fixed. He was, by all accounts a gentle and kind giant!

Clarence was predeceased by his sisters, Olga and Hazel (Frank).

An event will be held later, at a point where we are allowed to gather to properly celebrate the incredible life of Clarence McGregor. With Clarence’s love of animals, we ask that, if you desire, please make a donation in his name to an animal shelter/charity in your community. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Clarence’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

The family wish to thank Bethany Care for their love and attention to Clarence (Tiger) in his final months.

In living memory of Clarence McGregor, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, CALGARY, AB T2E 2V6, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
