Condolences
Dear Tom and family,
I am so sorry that you have lost Mary.....especially hard at this time of the year. I am filled with so many fun memories of the days when we attended the IDA conventions together - criss-crossing the country each year. You and Vic worked hard but we also played hard too:) Now Vic and Mary are gone but we can treasure past memories of good times w/friends. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

To Tom, Jennifer, Allison and Kate and all the grandchildren,
I had the great privilege of knowing Mary for many years. I realize that I have known some of 4 generations of Mary’s family! Mary was vibrant, enthusiastic and positive. She had a “can do” attitude that was inspiring and contagious. She loved her family dearly and beamed that beautiful smile when speaking of her daughters and grandchildren. As this is the Christmas season, it is touching to me that I have one of her beautiful Christmas trees in my living room. I am not sure if I could make something quite that beautiful but I am inspired to try! Thinking of all of you and wishing you lots of lovely cherished memories of Mary.
My sincere condolences,
Nancy Love
Condolences to the Cummings family. I always enjoyed our visits in the office. Take care of each other at this very sad time in your lives
It is with heavy hearts we send our condolences to the Cumming family. Mary was a neighbour, friend and fellow CHAS ( Children's Hospital Aid) member. Her
steadfast positivity, organizational skills and hard work were assets to her volunteer colleagues and many others. Her generosity of spirit was shared unconditionally and she graciously hosted many work sessions in her home. Her open and approachable manner made her a pleasure to know and work with. She will be sorrily missed and fondly remembered as a tender of gardens and the needs of others.

I'm so saddened to learn of Mary's passing.
I met Mary at CHAS. I had just joined the membership and Mary took me under her wing, showing me the ropes of the organization. I remember coming to her home, helping create the Christmas Trees for the Holiday Lunch fundraiser, which were such a huge success. She spoke so lovingly of her daughters, husband, grandchildren, dogs and her vacation home.
Mary reminded me so much of my Mom.
I am so appreciative that Mary had touched a part of my life.
To the Cumming Family,
So sorry to hear of Mary's passing. She was my first Calgary "mom." She (and the whole family) welcomed me into the home as part of the family. Mary always shared her wisdom when we most needed it! She instilled that the work/life balance is necessary, and that there has to be more to your life than work--even if she was referring to swimming at the time. I have held that piece of advice close ever since. She was a loving mom and would do anything for Jen, Allison, or Kate. No doubt she continued this on with her grandchildren.
Know that you all are in our thoughts at this trying time. I am sending good energy and positive memories to all.
Big hugs,
Bob
