Obituary of Marylyn Frances KUNETZKI

May 5, 1940 – Swift Current, Saskatchewan
December 5, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Marylyn Kunetzki, beloved wife of George Kunetzki, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the age of 80 years.

Marylyn enjoyed her childhood on the farm at Fosterton, SK. In her teens, she moved with her family to Swift Current, SK. After attending Bible College in Outlook, SK, Marylyn worked as an LPN at the Swift Current Hospital where she met her husband of fifty-seven years.

Two daughters were born before the couple relocated to Calgary, AB and then to Red Deer, AB in 1969, where their son and youngest daughter were born. Marylyn enjoyed raising her children and supporting the family businesses. She held her family close and made many friends along the way. She was known for her love and kindness - her door was always open and the coffee pot was always on.

In their later years, Marylyn and George moved to Lake Bonavista Retirement Community in Calgary. Marylyn's favorite outings involved meals out, shopping in Willow Park with her daughters, and family gatherings.

Marylyn is survived by her loving husband George Kunetzki, her three daughters, Barbara (Roger) Holden of Calgary, AB, Alicia (Ray) Quesnel of Calgary, AB, and  Tamara (Ernie) Sieben of Grand Forks, BC; and one son Kevin (Nicole) Kunetzki of Regina, SK, seven grandchildren, Brandon (Cara) Holden, Jaret Holden, Jordan (Jessica) Sieben, Braden (Jen) Sieben, Kaylon Sieben, Nolan Kunetzki and Megan Kunetzki; four great-grandchildren, Asher Holden, Ella Holden, Dominic Sieben, and Brody Sieben; and her brother Ernest (Margo) Carlson. Marylyn will also be lovingly remembered by Tammy Fleury and Toscha Doyle whom Marylyn considered her daughters. Marylyn was predeceased by her parents, Alma Alecia Margaret Holland and Harry Edward Carlson.
