Obituary of Leann Joy BELMORE

July 5, 1956 - Regina, Saskatchewan
December 12, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Leann Belmore beloved wife of Bob Zubot of Cochrane, Alberta, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the age of 64 years.

Leann was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, on July 5, 1956. She spent her early years in Regina, went to Miller Comprehensive High School, and moved to Calgary in the mid 70’s.

Leann graduated from the University of Calgary in 1989 with a degree in Social Work and Education. She taught for the Calgary Catholic School Board as a substitute teacher for over 30 years.

Leann and Bob went to charismatic prayer meetings where they met, and married at Holy Rosary Cathedral in Regina in 1978. Leann was a lifelong devout Catholic and her relationship with God was extremely important to her.  

Leann enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, hiking and especially loved to swim. Her most memorable vacations were when she and Bob joined her parents on a road trip up the Alaskan Highway and when they travelled to Barbados. 

Leann always saw the best in everyone and she will be remembered for her kindness. 

Besides her loving husband, Bob, she is survived by her mother Christine of Regina, her three brothers, Neil (Jessica) of Barbados, Jay (Lisa) of Toronto, and Bruce (Norma) of Regina; and one sister Monique (Gord) of Regina, and her sister-in-law Elaine of Calgary, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Leann was predeceased by her father Roy of Regina.

A private Funeral Mass will be held for the family at St. Michael’s Catholic Community. Leann’s final resting place will be Eternal Springs Columbarium at St. Michael’s Catholic Community.
