Condolences
My deepest condolences to Rita, and all dear Louise's family. I had the great privilege of coming to know Louise when she resided at Father Lacombe Care Centre. Visits with her were always a bright spot in the days when I was volunteering. She gained a bit of notoriety when she first arrived by staying out well past curfew into the wee hours. Turns out she and Rita were having too much fun at the casino! The staff and residents all loved her and she will be greatly missed. I have kept her, and all of you in my prayers during these past months. Her strength, resilience and joy of life are an inspiration that she has gifted to us all, especially her family. I pray you lean into that strength now as you mourn her passing and live the legacy she has left you. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
Our sincere sympathy to all the Sunderland family members. Your Mom was a wonderful person and she will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Sharyn (Tousignant) and Jim Almond.
So very sorry Rita of the passing of your mom, my heart, hugs and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

I love my gran gran very much. I had many wonderful memories with her. She was one of my best friends, always supportive, comforting and always wanting to put a smile on your face. She always put a smile on mine no matter the day.
One memory I had of grandma was when I was downtown near 17th Ave at a party, it was late and I didn't want to cab home - I called grandma! Yes it was LATE but she answered! and she stayed awake, stayed on the phone with me as I walked to her place downtown (a few blocks away) and let me crash on her couch.
She was an incredible grandma to me, and will always have a special place in my heart.
I was lucky to have her so close to me while I grew up, and have her impact my life as she did today.
Gran was always a phone call away (if you could get her before her full voicemail), or a walk away from me. I will ALWAYS cherish the moments I was given spending time with her.
Love you Gran Gran. Forever and Always.
- Ashley
Please know that caring thoughts are with you all ..I am sorry for your loss.
I had the pleasure of meeting Louise when she visited Barrie Ontario.
I have fond memories of my Mother Shirley, Louise, Rita and I enjoying a tasty lunch at a local Dutch Deli.
I remember that visit each time I am in the deli.

I would like to express my condolences to Lori and Gail. Your mom was a wonderful person. A bit stubborn at times but I loved her for that. She reminded me of my grandma in all ways. Small and feisty. She is now pain free in heaven dancing up a storm. And if there is a casino, playing a machine or 2. RIP My friend. Coralie
I would like to express my sympathy to the family of Louise, she was a kind and loving person.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Aunty Louise's family on the loss of your matriarch. Each time we lose another icon from that generation, it is a loss to all of us because they are the ones who helped us to become who we are today. I am saddened to hear that Aunty Louise had a long battle with cancer. I did not know Aunty Louise very well, but I do remember that my Mom, Eileen (Heffernan) Tousignant, thought the world of Aunty Louise and all the Grenier clan who were her first cousins. Mom simply loved to see them all and "catch up" at showers and other family gatherings where we would meet up with them. Mom's fondness for Aunty Louise and for each of the Greniers was deeply rooted. They lived through great difficulties together and that formed a strong bond of love, respect, and interdependence. One thing I will never forget about Aunty Louise is that she, along with all the Grenier women, had (and have) a definite touch of class in her personal presentation and comportment. Strong, classy women! Great role models for all. My heart is with all of you as you face this tremendous loss. May your memories bring you comfort and peace. It's time to tell lots of stories and get them written down. I am so sorry that we cannot all gather to celebrate Aunty Louise's precious life, due to COVID concerns, but please know that I am with you in spirit.
