Obituary of Dorothy Helen WINTER (nee Johnston)

August 10, 1925 - Calgary, Alberta
December 11, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Dorothy went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 11, 2020 with family by her side at the age of 95 years.

Dorothy was born in Calgary on August 10th, 1925 where she lived all of her life and married Aubrey on January 27th, 1951. She touched the lives of many people over the years and was a blessing to all who met her. She selflessly gave of herself, always placing the needs of others before her own. She will be greatly missed and remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and a great friend to many. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, entertaining, travelling, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Her home was always filled with the scent of home cooked meals and fresh baking she made for her family and others.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Ray (Jacquie) and Pat (Brian); grandchildren, Tamara (Fil), Ryan and Aaron; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Aubrey, her siblings, Arnold, Pauline, Cliff, and Marguerite.

A Celebration of Life will be held for 10 attendees, on Sunday, December 27, at 2:00 p.m. The service for Dorothy will be live streamed at https://mhfh.com/tribute/details/32144/Dorothy-WINTER-nee-Johnston/obituary.html#tribute-start , for those unable to attend.
