Obituary of Robert Arnold McFADZEN

April 17, 1933 – Fredericton, NB
December 15, 2020 – Calgary, AB

Robert Arnold McFadzen, beloved husband of Frances McFadzen (nee Schwartz), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the age of 87 years, after a short battle with cancer.

He was born on April 17, 1933 in Fredericton, NB. After a lengthy career served in the Canadian Armed Forces followed by many years with the Department of Transport, NB, he retired.

Bob is survived by his wife Frances, son Laurie; and son Marty and his children, Alex and Matt, and their mother Judy all of Calgary; his sisters, Betty Anne Smythe and Debbie Dunphy, and brother Ed McFadzen all of Fredericton, NB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4, Fredericton, NB. Bob truly enjoyed a good card game and kindly chauffeured many pleasurable U.S. shopping trips over the years, as well as driving the GP (Geep or Grampy) bus for Alex and Matt when they were young. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
