Obituary of Gene Leung YUEN

August 4, 1947 – Toishan, China
December 21, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

 
Gene Yuen, beloved husband of Lily Yuen, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 21, 2020 at the age of 73 years with his loving family by his side. Gene had been battling with deteriorating health for many years.

Besides his loving wife, Gene is survived by his three children, Pene, Michael (Gillypher), and Nadine; two grandchildren, Jaxon and Samantha; siblings, Ken (Nicole), Nancy (Peter), Marianne (Patrick), Michael, and Mary Lou (the late Andrew); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gene was predeceased by his mother Anna Chung Chu Yuen and his father Yick Keung Yuen.

A private viewing will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the viewing will be limited to those invited by the family. Funeral Service will be reserved for immediate family only at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 and a Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery.
