Obituary of Gordon BISHOP

It is with much love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather (Papa) Gordon Bishop on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the age of 87 years.

Gordon was born in Calgary and spent his entire life in the Balzac area with his many lifelong friends. In 2016, Mom and Dad sold the farm and retired to Airdrie.

Dad was a kind, generous, loving man who cherished his family more than anything.

Gordon is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Shirley, three daughters, Susan (Barry) Wentz, Cindy (Thom) Beierle and Cori (Darrin) Carberry; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren (15 boys and 3 girls!!); and two special daughters-in-law, Inez Norman and Bev Wilson. Gordon was predeceased by his daughter Dianne; two sons, Stuart and Rod, and his grandson Garth.

The family extends their thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Peter Lougheed Center, Unit 43, and the nurses from Airdrie Home Care who took such great care of Dad.
