Obituary of Jennifer (Jenn) Anne KIRBY

June 21, 1979 – Calgary, Alberta
December 23, 2020 – Strathmore, Alberta

Jenn Kirby of Strathmore, AB, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the age of 41 years.

Jenn graduated from Jack James high school and later from Mount Royal as a Social Worker. This led to a rewarding career in Child Protective Services with Siksika Children’s Services. Family was the most important to Jenn. She was proud of her twins, Damian and Destiny who were her main joy in life. She was looking forward to becoming a grandmother to Destiny and Mack’s baby due in June.

Jenn enjoyed and had a passion for travelling. Her most memorable vacations were those spent with family and friends. Jenn will be remembered most for her outgoing character and her love for the family.

Jenn is survived by her son Damian Michaud, her daughter and daughter’s partner, Destiny Michaud and Mack Moorhead; her partner Shawn Mierau; her parents, Lloyd and Nancy Kirby.  She is also survived by her grandparents, Lloyd and Julia Kirby; grandmother Mimi McRitchie, brothers, Tim Kirby and Hang Kirby; nieces and nephews, Phillip, Kayla, Aidan, Jaden and Teva; sisters-in-law Melanie Kirby and Jessie Rigney; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She will also be missed by her pet Ekko. Jenn was predeceased by her brother Jeremy William Kirby in June 2020.
