Obituary of Anne Elizabeth RESEK (Hasman)

July 17, 1928 –Windsor, Ontario
December 23, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Anne Resek, beloved wife of the late Anton Resek, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the age of 92 years.

Anne was born in Windsor, ON on July 17, 1928 and attended Gordon McGregor School from Kindergarten to Grade 9. She also attended WD Lowe Vocational School for 1 Year as well as played in Gordon McGregor School Orchestra with her two sisters, Mary and Irene. Anne married Anton in 1946 and in 1957 the family moved to Calgary. Anne enjoyed dancing to Polka music and had the gift of whistling. Her most memorable vacation was when she travelled abroad to Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia to visit relatives whom she had never met. She will be most remembered for smile and outgoing personality.

Anne is survived by her five children, Linda Boutwell (Jim Heilman), Diane (Wayne) Sutherland, Ron Resek, Ernie Resek and Mary Resek; seven grandchildren, Rob Boutwell, Cindy Beavan, Mike McGhie, Amanda MacLean, Tony MacLean, Ashlee Sullivan and Chelsea Dupuis; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband Anton Resek, son Robert Resek and son-in-law Murray MacLean.
