Obituary of Brian Donald BATEMAN

Brian Bateman of High River, AB, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the age of 65 years.

Brian had various jobs throughout his career which included Shawnee Slopes Golf Course and Burnco before starting his own business of Bateman Vacuum Services. From there Brian worked at Shawnee Slopes, Baxter, Thorianson Construction where he made many long lasting friendships.

Brian’s interests were many and he was always interested in learning more. We often referred to him as “The walking book of knowledge” .Brian mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music and enjoying a very cold beer.

Brian accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of the birth of his daughter Alicia in 1979. He was very proud of all her accomplishments and always looked forward to hearing about them. His love for Alicia was never ending

Brian was loved and respected by so many for his love, loyalty, compassion and kindness. He was a man with a very gentle soul who will be missed by all. He enjoyed sitting around a campfire, playing the guitar, playing golf, and reminiscing about the many antics he and his family and friends got up to in their younger years.

Brian is survived by his two sons, Tim and Trevor Lyseng; and his two grandchildren, Keaton and Kruz. Brian is also survived by his three brothers, Dwayne (Bev), Jack and Larry (Sherrie); two sisters Susan (Bob) and Donna; sister-in-law Carolyn (Steve), aunts, Alberta, Audrey, Marcelle and Marilyn; Uncle Edwin (Linda), nieces and nephews, Jeff, Rhonda, Kennan, Joleen, Ryan, Patrick, Cody, Randi, Jacki, Amanda, Nick and Matt; great-nieces and nephews, Reese, Rhett, Georgia, Wyler, Andrew, Colby, Presley, Zoey, Olivia, Rory, Jaxon, Orin and Sebastian.

Brian was predeceased by his daughter Alicia, parents, Sheila and Don; and pet Free.
