I have many memories, scattered through the years. Uncle Jim and Aunt Joyce were like parents to me when I was in my early teens. My home wasn’t very stable, I would take the TTC to Downsview most weekends; Uncle Jim and Aunt Joyce always welcomed me into their home at the PMQs there. Bob, Sharon and I would play monopoly til the wee small hours, eating pizza and popcorn, or we’d play the game Battleship, ask Bob if he remembers the “Battle of the Bulge”?
Uncle Jim was a great listener, a very patient man, when you talked to him you just knew he was weighing everything you said and he gave me some very good advice, advice that I can remember almost word for word to this day. Thankyou Uncle Jim, I wish I had been able to see you before you left.
Say to hi Aunt Joyce for me, love you both ❤️
Carol
