Brian, we are deeply saddened by the news of Reid’s passing. Our sincere sympathies go out to you and your family.
Reed was an outgoing, intelligent and engaging young man with an irresistible sense of humour. He was our son, Sam’s very good friend and we had the pleasure of getting to know Reed better when he visited us at our summer cottage in Kenora, Ontario. He was eager to lend a hand at the cottage and gave credit for his work ethic to his grandparents who ran a farm in rural Alberta. We are extremely saddened to hear about his passing and the struggles he had with addiction. Our hearts and prayers go out to Brian and the family at this very difficult time.

I want to share my deepest condolences to Brian, Konnie, and the entire family. This is horrible news. Reid and I were very good friends all through grade school. We shared tons of amazing memories. Playing outside as young kids, riding our bikes to China town, attending our first school dances, and facing high school together as a team..the list goes on. He was truly a unique, confident, gregarious man. A loyal friend and gentleman. I am very sad to hear this about this loss. He will be missed. I am confident he will find peace and is resting happily with his Mother, Grandfather, and other family.
Reid was an extraordinary childhood friend. I will forever hold memories of his outrageous sense of humour and unique personality. He was an extremely special guy and he is in a better place now as heaven has gained another angel. I would like to send my condolences to Brian and the rest of Reid’s extended family.
We have very fond memories of Reid during our time in Sana'a. He was always a very busy bee and the apple of his mother's eye. As we miss Edna every single day one can only imagine how hard it was for Reid. I'm sure that she was waiting for him with open arms and he is in a better place.
I met Reid a number of times during occasions with his Auntie Konnie. She loved him deeply and was always trying to find ways to support and show her love for him.
I remember Reid as an attractive, intelligent young man with ideas, plans and interesting thoughts. He was able to fix things that Auntie Konnie and I were perplexed by!
I pray for peace for the family during this time of grief. He was surrounded by family love during his time with us here.
I know Reid had struggles and I pray he is comforted and at peace with his angels in heaven.
My condolences to you all,
Cindy Ward
