Condolences
My deepest and most heartfelt sympathy. I met Harry when I worked at Canadian Arctic Gas. What a fine and outstanding gentleman. Years later, Harry was instrumental in introducing me to a position at Anderson Exploration. Where I worked for a number of years. I’m honoured to have met Harry Beaton & feel blessed to have known him. I am so saddened for your great loss. With deepest sympathy, Arlene Rosehill
Dear Wilma and Family,so sorry to have another one of our “Group” leave us,most sincere condolences to all the Beaton family. Our association with Harry over the years has been one of golf, cross country skiing(Lake O’Hara)house boating, lunches at Earl Grey Golf Club, visit to our cabin at Sundre( getting our old truck stuck in the river),giving back through the Canadian Progress Club and those “scotch tasting” meetings, but mostly as a great friend. We have many happy memories of our times with Harry.I expect he is “up there” now swapping stories with Peter,Steve,Barry and Ernie and others who have gone before him.We will think of him often and remember the good times.Gone but not forgotten.Sending you all a “virtual” hug!!Garry and Ronnie Zurowski
Dear Wilma, Barbara, Carole & Beverly: It's been many long years since I visited you but I remember fondly how your family was so welcoming. I remember going to the Zoo with the girls. I was married to your niece and the girls' cousin Ronna. If you recall, we had something in common. Harry and Mark were both born on October 22 (21 years apart) and Wilma and Ronna were January 22. This has always been something special to me even though we became distanced.
I've been living in Calgary since 1978.
My heart reaches out to all of you and may all your memories be warm & fuzzy.
Regards, Mark Ketler

I was saddened to hear of Harry’s passing last week. We were neighbours of Harry and Wilma for more than 40 years. Harry was a great friend, and family man, who possessed unfailingly good humour and friendliness. He contributed to his community in a variety of pursuits and practised his profession effectively and honourably. My sincerest condolences to Wilma and family. He was a very good man.
To the Beaton Family,
I had the opportunity to meet with Harry Beaton as a member of the Canadian Progress Club Association, Calgary Downtown.
Harry was a true Canadian and a Gentlemen.

Wilma and Family;
Harry had a life well lived, successful accountant, golfing at Earl Grey and Canmore, and XC skiing with Mike Williams and myself to Kananaskis, Skoki, etc., a great sense of humour until his car was stolen and later lost his hearing aid, and a regular contributor of email jokes. Raised a family and with assistance from his wonderful wife Wilma, A best friend for many years. With deepest sympathies from me and wife Nancy, Karl Gibbie.
We send our sympathy to Wilma and family of our dear friend, Harry. It is a great loss to all our friends and good neighbours in our "Tudors" condo. Harry was a wonderful presence here for his tall, "grey" and handsome profile and his wit in social settings and his financial mentoring to our condo Board all those years. We were honoured to be among Harry and Wilma's circle of friends up here on the 3rd floor our hearts are heavy with our loss too.
Sincerely, Jo Ann and Don Paul
Bev and family

Wilma, Carole, Bev, Barb and families... I'm so sorry for your loss. Harry was such an inspiring gentle giant. Dad was always in awe of his athletic prowess, xc skiing into Lake O'Hara and golfing well into his later years. He was a great friend to both Mom and Dad, and they always held the highest regard for him. And of course, Dad loved to share a scotch or two and have a good laugh with Harry. Sending you all love and hugs from the mountains.
Mrs Beaton, Carole, Bev, Barb and families,
I am so sorry for your loss. Random thoughts and memories come to mind, including what a good friend Harry was to Dad as they sipped scotch and talked about the important issues of the day. He stood tall and smiling for decades in a group photo that hung on Dad's office wall.
Mom appreciated that Harry always spoke of the 4 women in his life with respect and mild humour (as a husband and father does from time to time) and occasionally rather than words, a wry smile and shoulder shrug in resignation, ie: "what's a fellow going to do?"
We will toast Harry with a glass of fine scotch tomorrow evening at 5pm. If it was another time in history, we'd be saying these things in person and no doubt remembering many wonderful times. Our sincere condolences
Edie and Hal
Wilma and Family, Our sincere condolences on your loss of Harry. Harry was outstanding in his membership and support of the Canadian Progress Club, Calgary Downtown and a long term supporter of Uncles and Aunts at Large, Big Bothers/Big Sisters. He was one of the founding members, and was honored in being the award " Founder" of Big Brothers / Big Sisters. He continued his association with this group until this past year. We value our friendship which has grown through this association for well over 50 years. His leadership, wisdom, and guidance was always greatly appreciated and will be missed. He stood tall as our senior statesman. All the very best to you and your family. Love, Dolores and Jack Killick
