Obituary of Jeffrey (Jeff) Steven MACDONALD

July 20, 1975 - Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia
December 21, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Jeffrey Steven MacDonald (aka Jeff MacDonald) age 45, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at his place of residence.

He shared three children with Jessica Savage, son Aaron MacDonald and daughters, Rachel Casey, and Tiffany McKenna, as well as three grandchildren, Keiran, Allyssa, and Owen from his daughter Tiffany and son-in-law Kyle Mitchell. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Kevin Savage, mother-in-law Sue MacRitchie and aunt-in-law Rochelle Prefontaine. The surviving family all resides in Calgary, AB.

On July 20, 1975 Jeffrey MacDonald was born in Sydney Mines, NS to his mother Henrietta Anne MacDonald. His fathers name is currently unknown as he was estranged from his family in his late teens. He did however, share stories and fond memories of his time in Nova Scotia with his friends and family. He recently told his daughter Tiffany he would like to locate an old friend named Aaron (his last name is currently unknown) who Jeff named his son Aaron after. At work he often took the role of mentor and trusted advisor. He worked a variety of construction jobs beginning in his teen years and took pride in his vast skill set. He was well liked and made many close friendships with those he worked with over the years.

Jeff was a devoted father, attentive wonderful grandfather and among the best friends anyone could have. He spent a lot of time saving his daughter from his grandkids and making their days brighter with his easy going nature and helpful tendencies. He was a proud dad. He loved his family. He was loved by many and respected by most. Jeff will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
