Obituary of Audrey (Pat) Patricia HAY (nee Grimes)

Audrey Patricia “Pat” Hay of Calgary passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the age of 91 years.

Pat was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. Inquisitive and intelligent, she completed her training as a Registered Nurse at the Winnipeg General Hospital/Health Sciences Centre in 1951. She spent time working in emergency rooms and operating rooms, thoroughly enjoying her time helping with neurosurgeries.  She subsequently married (St. Vital, MB) Doug Hay, her husband of sixty-five years.   On the arrival of her son, Dan, and then daughter Haven (Shauna), her focus turned to her children.  In addition to her children, she enjoyed horseback riding, skiing and won numerous trophies for her curling and golf skills.

Pat is survived by son and daughter-in-law Dan Hay and Heather Waymouth; daughter and son-in-law Shauna Haven and Jonathon Bey; grandchildren, James (Ashley), Steel and Tiana; and her great-grandson Grant.
