Condolences
Elsie and Bill were long-time neighbours of ours, growing up in Haysboro. We will always cherish many fond memories and Elsie's infectious laughter. It was also sad to hear of Tim's passing in 2018. Our deepest condolences to Elsie's friends and family.
The Martins
Elsie was so part of our family from the time her and Bill became a couple in the late 50's.
We would stay with Elsie and Bill when we were in Calgary and the entire clan would get together for some great times.
My mom Anne Goodman and Elsie were very close. We all adored Elsie and enjoyed all the times we spent with her.
Bill and my dad were first cousins. Bill would stop to see us when he got his first truck and was hauling lumber. Memories
bring comfort.

Elsie you will always be a part of me. R.I.P Love Gord
Elsie and Bill were my godparents and we’re a big part of my growing up. We would visit them whenever we could and I always looked forward to our visits.
I referred to Elsie as my ‘Very Own Auntie’, VOA for short.
I would spend 1-2 weeks with them in the summer. VOA and I would explore Calgary and we would make time to visit her mom, Frieda. I was always excited to see VOA and Bill. As I got older, I would take a Greyhound bus, by myself, to visit them. VOA was always there ready to pick me up. In turn, Tim would spend time with us in Stony Plain.
In my teens, I would stay with them during my spring break ski trips on the Brewster Ski Bus.
The church was such a big part of her life. I was always happy to attend mass with her.
Thank you, VOA, for being such an inspiration in my life. ‘There is always room at the Shepherd Inn’.

Elsie was a lovely lady. I shall always remember her smiling face & her laugh.
Her devotion to Blessed Mother Mary was inspirational to me, and she often talked about her own mother with such love.
Elsie donated the funds to purchase a new statue of Mary for the Jubilee Prayer room at St. Gerard parish. It is a beautiful artistic image of a young Mary & the child Jesus.
Thank you, Elsie, for that precious gift.
I hope that you have been reunited with your beloved Bill, of whom you often spoke with such love.
