Jayson BESSERER

Obituary of Jayson Andre BESSERER

August 25, 1978 – Calgary, Alberta
January 19, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sorrow that the family of Jayson Andre Besserer announces his passing on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at the age of 42.

Jayson will be remembered for his passions - his passion for helping others, his passion for knowing God, his passion for reading and learning, and his passion for the game of soccer. A former goalie, at an early age he was chosen for an elite team. Jayson showed up for life as he did for those soccer games, as a large presence, an enthusiastic participant, and a shining star. The sky is darker without him.

A father, a brother, and a son… Jayson was many things to many people.  He received his Master of Arts in Counselling in 2014 and was a trusted drug and alcohol counsellor and former pastor. Jayson was a person of faith who was a good friend to many. His most treasured role, however, was being a fun-loving, committed dad to his adored seven-year-old son Seamus. They enjoyed many adventures together and will be sorely missed.

Jayson will be forever remembered by his wife, whom he was separated from, Estelle, his son Seamus Besserer, his mother Anne Marie Kingston, his father Andy Besserer, his stepmother Kathy Besserer, his brother Sam Besserer, his sister-in-law Kathy Besserer, his nephew Darian Besserer, and many other relatives.
