Obituary of Omar Lawrence "Larry" CORNEIL

November 20, 1940 – Havelock, Ontario
January 30, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Larry Corneil, beloved husband of Louise Blacklock (nee Schmaltz) of Calgary, AB passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the age of 80 years.

Larry was passionately devoted to his Christian faith. He loved camping, square dancing and socializing with his family and friends.  He was well travelled during his career as well as during his retirement years. Larry enjoyed his hobby of woodwork and was an all-around handyman. There are so many reasons why he will be deeply missed and especially remembered for his unique and infectious laughter. 

Besides his loving wife Louise, Larry is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Brad Barthelette; Louise’s children, Anne (Pat) Murtha, Robert Blacklock (Val), Cheryl Moir, and Debbie Blacklock; six grandchildren, Adam, Justin, Chelsea, Matt, Riley and Allysha; as well as six great-grandchildren. Larry is also survived by his brother Allan Corneil.

Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, A Private Family Service will be held. Graveside service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
