Obituary of Cuong Dong KHUU

At 67 years old, Cuong Dong Khuu peacefully passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021, at his home in Calgary, AB.

He was born November 27, 1953, in Bien Hoa, Vietnam. Cuong was the beloved husband of Hue Man Khuu. He was her best friend, protector, and provided unconditional love throughout their forty-year marriage. He was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, and brother-in-law to Janie Khuu, Annie Khuu, Nathan Khuu, Binh Nguyen, Sally Yip, John Duong, Kole Duong, Justin Ly, Ryan Zimmerman, Tom Ly, Jenny Trieu-Ly and Matthew Ly.

Cuong devoted his entire life to his family. He was selfless, generous, and compassionate - always putting others ahead of his own needs. He had a great sense of humour, loved to learn new skills, and had a passion for new adventures. His biggest joy was having family together and uniting over a home-cooked meal. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A Private Family Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021, to honour and celebrate Cuong’s life.
