Obituary of Adeline Magdeline STUVELING

August 1, 1925 – Sec 36, T23 R26 W2M, Saskatchewan December 7, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta It is with a mixture of emotions that our family announces the passing of Ada (Adeline Kathryn), beloved wife of Harmannus (Monte) Stuveling, mother, grandmother, aunt and devoted Saskatchewan Rider fan, on December 7, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Born near Kenaston, Saskatchewan in 1925, Ada lived in and around the area until she moved for work to Regina. In 1956, she met the love of her life, Monte Stuveling, while attending a Roughriders Football Game in Edmonton. They were eventually married in 1958 and spent much of their life in the remote area of Boundary Lake and Swan Hills where Monte worked with Esso Resources. Together they raised their only daughter Kathryn Myketyn (nee Stuveling). In 1985 Ada and Monte retired to Calgary where Ada spent the remainder of her life enjoying her family, friends and her most treasured grandchildren. For the past four years Ada has appreciated the camaraderie of the staff and residents at Canyon Meadows Retirement Residence where everyone was made well aware of “Game day” when she would unfailing don her Green and White Riders Jersey. As recently as last week she still dreamed of travelling to Regina to see her team play in person at the new Mosaic Stadium. She is lovingly remembered by daughter Kathy Stuveling Myketyn, son-in-law Eric Myketyn and grandchildren Kyle and Lauren Myketyn as well as a large and extended family including very special lifelong friends Fred and Rae Bewer and their children. Ada was predeceased by her parents Peter and Matilda Persick, her husband Monte Stuveling and her brothers Raymond, George and Hubert Persic. Family and friends wish to thank the wonderful medical and support staff at South Health Campus who provided a comforting and compassionate environment over Ada’s final days. The family will hold a private interment and a celebration of life will be held later in 2018. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 – 14th Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 Telephone: (403) 264-5549, www.heartandstroke.ca.
