What a beautiful eulogy and tribute to a life well lived. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this beautiful service. I wish for peace for you in this time of mourning and am sending love across the Rockies.
Oh, my best friend in high school and for many years and trips later, how sad to think that you are gone. I am in the hospital myself at the moment, in isolation and have spent many hours just remembering and enjoying many of our times together.
What a strong figure you presented to your children, particularly in the fullness of your life.
Adieu, my friend.
Our deepest condolences to Marion's many loved ones. Thank you for allowing us to be part of the beautiful service today, it was very beautiful to hear how many lives she touched. Much love from Chant and Sandi

Jan and Rob, Doug and Paula-very sorry to hear of Mrs. Harkness' passing. I always did call her "Mrs. Harkness"!
I too have good memories of spending many a time at the house on Klamath Road. Buying Christmas trees that were too tall for the ceiling height, hanging out in the backyard, and visiting with your mom in the kitchen. Fond memories indeed.
My thoughts are with you all.

Dear Doug and Jan,
Marion was such a great friend to our mother, and a huge part of our childhood. We will all miss her energy and love for people. She always brought a spark to a room. Wishing both of you and your families peace as you deal with her loss.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Marion Hall Harkness. We were classmates at the University of Alberta. I am happy that we were able to connect again at our class reunions; the last one was in 2016. Her smile was always so special. It lit up the room!
Please accept my warmest condolences. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Marion when I began volunteering in the gift shop at the Children's Hospital. Marion was a kind and witty mentor to me, I learned much from her gentle touch with our patrons. Throughout our Thursday afternoons she would speak highly of her grandchildren, children and her many friends. She was full of the stories of her life, from raising her family, her Sorority sisters, fellow lawn bowlers and golf and bridge mates. What a full life she led! I'm sure she lives on in all of you!
Rest In Peace,
Catherine Hardy.
Dear Jan and family: I saw the notice of the passing of your Mom and immediately could hear her voice and laughter. It has been a long time since I last saw her, but the memories are still strong and vivid. She was always so kind to me, and made sure to make me feel welcome and included. Jan, your heart must be broken and you are am certain trying to be 'strong' through your grief. Please know that I send you and your family love and remember your Mom well. She was such a lovely woman, and will be missed. I'm so very sorry for your loss. xo Sincerely, Sheryl ( nee Rogers) Purdy

DearJan, Doug and Family.
My sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom , I had the privilege to work with Marion for many years at Denca Cabinets and have only fond memories of her kind and caring ways, and after retirement we enjoyed our yearly lunch get together where we caught up on our lives, Marion always brought pictures of her dear grand children, she was very proud of them.

Jan and family. I read your mother's obituary in the Calgary Herald (where we now live). I'm not sure if you remember me, our children (Davis and Gillian Wong) went to Oriole Nursery School together, many years ago. I was sad for you reading about your mother's passing, having lost my mother just after Gill was born. Your mom sounds like a pretty amazing person, and I was interested to read that she participated in the Famous Five sculpture (now one here and one on Parliament Hill). No matter how old we are, losing our mother is unbelievably hard, particularly after becoming moms ourselves. May the thoughts and prayers of your friends and family bring you some peace during this very sad time. Karen MacPherson
Marion was a very special person.May it help you to know there are many Sorority Sisters who are sharing ;your Sadness

I was very saddened to read of Marion's death. May she rest in peace. I met Marion through the Alberta Children's Hospital - when she applied to become a volunteer in our Gift Shop. I trained Marion to be a cashier in the Shop, and we became instant friends, and fellow volunteers. During the many years of her volunteering, I enjoyed her friendly demeanor, sharp wit, interest in everything and her absolute joy at helping others. Marion loved the children at the hospital, and went far beyond what was expected. She always had a smile, a kind word, a genuine interest in everyone and everything. We miss her at Emily's Window. I miss her as a friend.
Thank you to Marion for her generous donation to the Children's Hospital.
