Obituary of Joan Esther MILLER

September 13, 1928 – Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan December 7, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Joan Esther Miller (nee Nevill) of Calgary passed away on Thursday December 7, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Joan was born and raised in Moose Jaw, SK. Joan trained at the Grey Nun’s Hospital in Regina, SK, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1951. That same year she married John Miller beginning a lifetime dedicated to caring for others as a nurse, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Joan always put everyone ahead of herself right up to her final days. Joan is survived by her daughter Susan (David) Flaman; her four sons, Neil (Sharon), Greg (Sharon), Paul (Sharon) and Max (Kinga); brother Bob (Wilma) Nevill along with numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her husband John, sisters Betty Williams and Lucille Vargo and infant great granddaughter Hailey Miller. A Celebration of Joan and John’s Life will be held at All Saints Anglican Church (142 Massey Road, Regina, SK) on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends and family so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to a charity of the donor’s choice in Joan’s memory during this Christmas season.
