Happy Birthday Jim, I sure wish I was having an ice cold ice tea with you today. Miss you man!
THo
Jim was a friend as well as a co-worker and had a wonderful way of making you feel at ease. Your day was made brighter because of his knowledge and of course, his sense of humor. We miss you and love you Jim. Our thoughts are with Trish, Jake and the entire family.

Trish and Jake, we are so sorry for your loss of a wonderful husband and dad. Jim’s wit and humour made him so much fun to be around. Whether fishing, watching a game or socializing with, he was always telling jokes or funny stories and we will miss those times. We loved to spend time with him and feel lucky to have known him. We are so very saddened by his passing.
Our thoughts are with you and Jake, and we are here to support you through this difficult time.
We love you,

I am so sad to hear about Jim. My sincere condolences to Trish, Jake and all the people that Jim touched. I worked with Jim in the wine business for years and developed a bond and friendship with him. Jim's humble humour, outgoing personality and lighthearted way made an indelible mark on many. So sorry for your loss.
Trish & Jake so sorry for your difficult journey and loss of Jim. Life does not prepare us for death, but family & friends will help us through. Say his name every day!
Trish and Jake, We are so sorry for your loss. Jim was one of our favourite humans. He was unapologetically himself and yet seemed to be exactly what any one of us needed in any given moment. A laugh, a cry, a sounding board (okay punching bag) an ally and yes sometimes a reality check but mostly he was one of the good guys, the best guy. The thing about friends is you get to choose them, we are honoured that he/you chose us. We are here always.

Over the years we've often reminisced about the fun and stupid things we got up to during Jim's time in Grande Prairie. Between golf and snowboarding we spent a lot of time together. My folks often spoke about having Jimmy out for Easter dinner back in the day.
We were saddened to hear of his struggle and passing but happy that he kept his sense of humour and wit even when he wasn't feeling very well. Over the last year we had more contact than we had in years and will always remember that. Trish and Jake, we all wish you well and hope you can find comfort in family.
Trish, Our deep, deep condolences on Jim's death. Bern and I saw the obituary this morning.

Dear Trish and Jake
We are so very saddened to hear about Jim’s passing.
We had the privilege of first meeting your family at the hockey rink and have so many wonderful memories of spring hockey on a team always managed by Jim.
Jim was a dedicated team manager. Making sure the boys had the best season possible was always his priority and he worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. Spring hockey led by Jim was an annual highlight.
Jim had the gift of warmth and friendship. He put everyone he met at the rink at ease. It is because of this that so often Craig and I would seek Jim out during the regular season to catch up and have a good laugh. Wherever Jim was there was laughter.
The extended hockey family has lost such a valuable member. It was a gift to have been able to call Jim a dear friend. His impact was far reaching. We want you to know that your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
Sincerely Craig Allison and Andrew Burkart

Trish and Jake I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Jim touched countless lives at E&J Gallo (Canada). He was a mentor and supporter of so many during his career. His intelligence and wit made every encounter with him special. He always seemed to find the time for people even when he was at his desk, head down and deep into his work.
It was clear how much love he had for his family. He proudly told stories and made us all laugh.
I feel lucky to have known him and he will be greatly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you navigate such a difficult time.
Trish and Jake we are so shocked and saddened to hear the passing of Jim. Our thoughts and prayers are with the both of you and hope you find some peace in the many memories you have created together through the years. Jim always made us laugh, honestly one of the funniest people I have ever encountered. His sense of humour however not to be outshined by the kindness he showed others and his love for the two of you! Which was always evident in his words and his eyes. He will be greatly missed!
