Condolences
I was taking my son for a bike ride today in Fish Creek park and came across a beautiful bench dedicated to Catherine Marchuk. I grew up on the same street as the Marchuks’, and got to know Cathy over the years through the babysitting Co op, as well as babysitting her 3 sons. I remember her kind and vibrant personality, and what an amazing mother she was. I will always have fond memories of her and her sons. I want to send my sincere condolences and love to the family.
Kindly, Elizabeth Haralabakos (Saar)

Catherine was a lovely lady to work. I will always remember her grace and kindness. Sending sincere condolences to the family.
I am so sorry to hear of Catherine’s passing. She was one of my favourites at Agrium. We both worked in the Human Resources Department and she was so proud of her sons and she was an avid hockey mom. She encouraged me when Our son was heading to the hockey rink. We shared some wonderful conversations and I am so sad her grandchildren won’t have her in their lives. Sending heartfelt condolences to her family.
I am very saddened to hear of Catherine’s passing. But at least now she is resting in peace after fighting the good fight.
I have been impressed by her calm demeanour and will miss her... Let’s spread the love and kindness she had shown to us.
May God comfort her family and friends so that the survivors can all live their lives to the fullest with the hope of seeing one another once again in heaven.
I am very sorry to hear about Catherine's passing. She was an amazing lady and will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her. I have lost touch with her in the last few years but I have thought about her often.
She was such a wonderful help to me when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer and didn't know what to do or where to go. She shared her experience with me and gave me so many tips and tricks that were invaluable to me. I have shared these same tips and tricks with my friends and family also affected by cancer. Her legacy will live on.
We are so heartbroken to hear of Cathy's passing. It has not being long that we met her and her loving family, but we felt very much as part of the family and we could see how much she was loved and how much she cared about her family.
Sending our love, since we could not be with you in this difficult moment, but be assured that she will be always remembered.
God bless and comfort you.
Carlos and Elizabeth

Auntie Kay was a joy to be around and I am incredibly lucky to have known her my whole life.
The old phrase “To know her was to love her” rings true here. She was so much fun and she was so kind to me. I will miss her smile, her soft voice, her delicious food, her generosity and her beautiful, gentle spirit. I’m grateful for the time we had.

Sincere Condolences to Ed and sons Lee, Craig and Cam ( along with spouses and children) on the passing of Cathy.
Our hearts go out to all of you and may God bless you and your families during this sad and difficult time. Keep precious memories close to your hearts.
I have known Cathy since she first met Ed and she changed his life forever. I even had the special honour of being the “Best Man” at their Wedding. We had many get togethers in Edmonton, Calgary and at the lake - also countless phone calls over the years. Cathy was always a warm, kind, caring, gentle, sincere and giving person.
She will be fondly missed by Ed and Family and absolutely everyone that she knew and touched in her life. Cherish all her wonderful and loving memories .
REST IN PEACE CATHY
LOVE,
AL and CAROL ZELANT

It was always hard to say goodbye Kay. We had so much fun and precious times together since we were very young.
The miles never stood in our way and latterly, with modern technology it brought us into each other’s homes and much closer to one another.......a far cry from the airmail letters we used to write on another.
Today, we say goodbye in a very different way but, one day, our hope is that we will meet up again and their will be no parting and no goodbyes!
Until then we will keep your memory alive here and we will laugh and we will cry!
Farewell dear cousin RIP
Will love you always and forever!!

We only met Kay and Ed once, but your hospitality and kindness to us we have never forgotten. She was much loved and will be missed by many.
Thinking of you and the boys Ed, and sending all our love from Stornoway.
Catriona, David and James. Xx
Cathy was a big part of our Babysitting Co-op years in Midnapore. We had so much fun together sharing child care, kids Christmas, Easter, and Halloween parties and adult parties of course! She was a great Mom and always the calm voice of reason. I’m not sure she ever sat still for a minute and was always doing something for her family, or growing the basket business with her friend Sheila. We have great memories of a beautiful woman. Susan Robertson and family
Auntie Kay was precious.
She fought fiercely through her toughest years with a smile on her face. She was warm, kind, and calming. She and uncle Ed were always ready to make anyone feel at home with them. They raised the sweetest and funniest boys, and in turn we now have the greatest extended family through their partners and children.
I will forever miss Auntie Kay, but she will always be remembered for her immensely loving spirit.
All my love to my family that I miss so much, here in Canada and across the pond in Scotland.
It was a privilege to call her our cousin , so many happy times spent together , so many miles covered and so many memories made .
Our lives are the richer for having had all these experiences together on our many trips .
She has left a huge void but we will never forget her ❤️
