We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Jeff Burns on March 6, 2021. He is forever in our hearts as a loving husband and best friend to Kim, and devoted Dad to Lilly and Adam.

He was dearly loved, and will be dearly missed, in Calgary and New Brunswick as a son (Jim & Pat), brother (Scott, Karen), son-in-law (Joan), brother-in-law (Tracy, Chris, Brian & Dianne, Penny & Vernon, Angela & Paul, Tim & Kelli, Colin & Ellen, Colleen), and uncle (Lauren, Clayton, Jared, Avalin, Declan, Nick, Jonathan, Kyle, Alex, Scott, Julie, Loren, Marcia, Rosalyn, Amy, Kristofer, Monique, Dylan, James).

Jeff will be remembered for many remarkable qualities. He was a life-long Calgarian and a proud business owner. However, Jeff will be most remembered for his personal integrity, warm friendship, sense of humour, and immense musical talents.

In recent years, Jeff received excellent care in numerous departments at Foothills Medical Centre. He particularly appreciated the treatment expertise and compassionate care of Dr. Scot Dowden and Dr. Victor Jimenez-Zepeda at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre.

Keeping with public health restrictions on gatherings and travel, a public funeral will not be held. A time will come when we can share a story with a hug. To those who find comfort in their grief through donation, please consider the Terry Fox Foundation or your local food bank.
