Condolences
Please accept our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Angela and rest of the Hockley family for this untimely loss. We have fond memories of Blair and Angela from Blair’s tenure in Abu Dhabi. I still remember the day when Angela was visiting Blair in Abu Dhabi for the first time and how Blair was tracking the flight from the very moment it left Calgary! Loved working with Blair! May his soul Rest In Peace.
Our deepest condolences to Angela and the Hockley family. I met Blair in Abu Dhabi, working for the same company. It was a pleasure working with him. Great memories of those times, and the dinners with Angela and Blair!
We grieve with Angela and family.

I had the privilege of coaching alongside Blair for a season. Blair was always enthusiastic about baseball and life in general, and the Bowridge Expos were a better team because of his contributions. I'll miss chatting with him about sports, work, our boys, and camping trips. He will be greatly missed and I’m saddened by the loss of such a wonderful father and coach.
My son Wheeler remembers him for his happy attitude and great tips for hitting.
Our condolences to Angela, Mason, Connor, and all of Blair’s family and friends.
I wish to send my condolences to the Hockley family. I knew Blair during our time at Walter Murray Collegiate. Blair was such a wonder guy.
We grieve the loss of Blair but treasure the time we had with him.

Condolences to Blair’s family. While I didn’t work with Blair for a long period during his time with Shell, we did keep in touch during our post -shell careers. Blair always impressed me...he was positive, energetic and very respectful of all he interfaced with, irrespective of their standing in life. The world lost a good one....taken far too soon. Rest In Peace my friend.

A beautiful service for a beautiful person. Don and I were neighbours for only 8 years in Saskatoon, the Hockleys are near and dear to us. We are devastated to hear of the passing of Blair.
Our prayers and love go out to all.

I have such fond memories if growing up with Blair, sadly as life took us down different paths after high school we lost contact. The couple times I have seen him since, he was always the same happy smiling fella that I grew up with, played baseball and hockey with, and ran around the neighborhood with.
Condolences to the family on the loss of a Father, son, husband, brother, brother in law, son in law. Blair was an amazing fella , i will cherish the memories I have.
Blair and I went to the same high school and then really go to know each other while in engineering. We were both in mechanical engineering and we worked very closely together on Spectrum95. In fact, we both held summer jobs for Spectrum, spending countless hours during those months setting strategy, establishing corporate support and securing funding. Blair’s professionalism, natural leadership, bold personality shone through in everything he was in contact with. I will remember how he embraced every moment to its fullest, and how he made me slow down to appreciate the little things. As engineering folks can attest, his zest for life and generous nature was reflected in the great many legendary parties in the Hockley’s garage. No matter how much time has passed, Blair will be remembered always. Ang, Mason, Connor and Mair my deepest condolences. Sending you thoughts and prayers for strength in the difficult days ahead.
Sincerely, Carla Bergen-Ciepliski
Our condolences to Angela, Mason, and Connor, on the passing of Blair. I knew Blair only professionally, as we worked at Athabasca together. Blair was dedicated, sincere, and always looking for a better way to do things. I enjoyed his stories and admired his varied passions. I know that you will miss him very much. Our prayers are with you.

My sincere condolences to Mair and Alex and to Blair’s immediate family his wife and children from the Bryant family. Blair and my oldest son Rob were friends through kindergarten and high school. They played ball and hockey together. He was taken way too soon.
I have had the pleasure of knowing and training with Blair for the last 5 years, as well, Connor and Mason, his boys.
Blair was always our gentle giant, eager to learn, train, make us laugh, and listen to his son Mason who outranked him. He was fast on track to achieve his brown belt, and then without doubt his Black. Blair taught me how to relax and take it as it comes. I will miss our club's gentle giant and friend. Your memory is with us all, and I know you are looking down on your family, watching over them, and the boys still Kicking the Pads.
Sincerely, Thomas Lee
Ang, Mair, Alex, and the rest of the family, my deepest sympathies to you all.
Blair and I went to school together from Kindergarten right through Engineering (17 years). I believe I am the sole person that can say that. I have such fond memories of picking Blair up in the mornings on the walk to elementary school, as well as playing Hockey and Baseball together. Boy, we did some stupid things as kids outside that house on Jarvis. He could ride a unicycle like no one I had ever met. We would throw baseballs and tennis balls around for hours. I'll never forget the stinging pain from catching his hard pitches, along with his proud little giggle when I'd wince after catching it.
Later, in our U of S Engineering years, He and his family hosted some fun and unforgettable parties in their garage. I'm very glad to have been part of his group of close friends all those years.
I'll always have these memories of Blair.
Blair and I went through engineering together at the U of S and worked closely together on Spectrum95 just before graduation. He was a natural leader both in his work ethic and in the social scene, where I remember many fun parties in the garage he hosted with his family for us during our university years. I remember his big warm spirit and recall he had not changed a bit when we were in contact just a few years back. I am so sorry for your loss, Ang, Mair and Mason and Connor and I send my condolences during this difficult time. Blair will always be fondly remembered as a key fixture in our engineering circle. Rest In Peace, Blair.
To Ang, Mason and Connor,
Blair was Selina’s neighbour and Devin’s friend and classmate back in the 90’s in Saskatoon. We had the privilege of being invited to his infamous Hockley engineering parties. That is where Devin and I first met. Bob and Blair’s burgers are unrivaled and we are certain you will continue the tradition.
Blair was always bigger than life and was friends with everyone he met. We’ll always have fond memories.
Sincerely,
Selina and Devin Lowe
May the care and love of those around you, provide you comfort and peace ...
Our thoughts & our hearts are with you
Our most sincere condolences,

I was privileged to first meet Blair in Banff at the Oilmen's golf tournament a few years ago. He was a fierce and extremely fun competitor. We became friends instantly and kept in contact from that point on. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing and will miss him greatly. Heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to his family and those that were close to him.

Dear Blair’s family, please accept my deepest condolences on his passing. Blair worked for me at Sask Power as a summer student while going to University in Saskatoon. I have fond memories of us working together on the Rural Underground Project. He was a enthusiastic hard worker and I appreciated his dedication to the job and missed him when he returned to his Engineering studies. Tom Miller
I worked for Blair at Athabasca Oil Corporation, he was such a kind and happy person to be around. I will always have fond memories of Blair and I am so so sorry for the loss of him, my heart goes out to Ang and the boys.

I have many childhood memories of Blair and I having some great times as young “Hockley Boys”. I’m sure a few that our parents want to forget.Blair was a great role model for the boys. We’re sure they will carry the Hockley name proudly.
My warmest memories of Blair were of the many engineering parties held in the Hockley’s garage. He was always such a good story and joke teller. Even though I was quite shy, he would make me feel welcome and was able to get me out of my shell and actually talk to people. I remember when I heard he was getting married and thinking “but he’s not old enough to get married!” My sincerest condolences go out to Ang, Mason, Connor, Mair, Alex and Greg, my heart breaks for you.

Blair truly had a larger than life presence and when he was in a room, people gravitated to him. He easily found things in common and could talk to everyone about everything. We remember him being so jovial all of the time...he was a good story-teller and easily made people laugh. He loved his family fiercely and was very protective. His life ended much too soon, and our hearts break for your loss. Ang, Mason, Connor, Mair, Alex and Greg, please accept our deepest sympathy.

My heart breaks to lose yet another great person so young. I have such fond memories of Blair and his kindness. He opened his heart and his home to people. I remember sitting in his childhood home, chatting away with Mair and Alex and Mr H at the annual university Hockley party. Ang, you and the boys are in my thoughts and in my heart.

I would like to send our deepest condolences on behalf my wife Amy and my daughters Jaen, Lula and Zilke to the Hockley family.
We met Blair, Mason and Connor as part of our karate family where it was always a pleasure seeing Blair and the boys. Blair was a powerfully built man who could hit hard, eager to learn and work with everyone all while doing it with a great personality and smile on his face! I learned much from Blair and will miss the many discussions we've had on the karate floor about many things beyond karate itself. We will always remember you Blair. May God bless your family and may you Rest In Peace.
Richard and Amy Rego & Family
I first met Blair while studying engineering at the University of Saskatchewan and he has been a good friend ever since. He even helped me to meet my future wife, Kerry-Lynn (Thanks Blair!). My wife and I have had many fun times with Blair and Ang over the years. Blair always had such unbridled optimism and a zest for life. Blair also had such a good heart and was always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed help. He will be greatly missed.

As a child, Blair was a colossus to me. A giant in presence, with a big heart to boot too. I truly appreciated that as an adult when I was lucky enough to see and spend time with Blair & our family in Canada, seeing what a great family man and Dad he was. To me, he was what all godfathers should be - an example to follow. In this desperately sad time, I know that the example he set is what Mason and Connor will take and appreciate for the rest of their lives, and that gives me comfort. Thinking of you Angela, Mason, Connor, Aunty Mair, Alex, Greg & all.
