Obituary of Melody Joy (nee Duke) JACKSON

March 18, 1957 – Minneapolis, United States of America 

March 8, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

After a long battle with cancer, Melody Jackson, beloved wife of Graham Jackson of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the age of 63 years.

Melody began her professional career working as an accountant for several oil companies earning her CGA designation during that time.  This is when she met her husband, Graham. She then changed into the financial advisement field, with her last position as VP for Kardia Financial Advisors. Melody had a passion to help underserved communities with financial services and enjoyed meeting new people through her many interactions. Melody especially enjoyed being with family and friends at their condo in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. 

Besides her husband, Graham, Melody is survived by her mother, Ruth, her sons, Michael (Sandra) and Jamie (Abbey Poirier); and two grandchildren, Hawley and Alexander.  She is also survived by her two sisters, Terry (Mike) Simon and Amy (Don) Mowat; her brother Gary (Cindy) Duke and many nieces and nephews. Also, there are many additional relatives across Canada, Scotland and the US.

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held followed by a Celebration of Life Ceremony later in the year.
