Condolences
We are having a mass said for Alice at our parish church, Ste Famille, this Saturday. She is missed. Jeanne Lefebvre and Harvey Olsen
Condolences to all of you.. I will always have fond memories of your mom, she was a special lady and always made me feel welcome. She did a great job of raising 5 great children through the difficult years of high school and junior high. Again my condolences.

I am Cindy Oakes (Bouw) Sally’s Oakes daughter from Edmonton.
Sally ( my mom) and your mom were such good friends. Their friends ship started in nursing and never ended.
I would take mom down to Calgary to see Alice it was a joy to see such good friends reunited.
Both yours and my parents were also such good friends I remember them playing cards and having such fun.
Alice was a special lady from nursing to friendship she was awesome.
As I read her obituary all I could think of is Mom meeting her and the two grannies sitting and having one of their “chats”
Please accept my condolences that generation is leaving us now and yes there is a hole.
Alice was a resident of mine when I was in nursing school and working as a HCA. After I moved on to another job, she sent me a letter inviting me to lunch with her. She was always so kind and wanted to help us young nursing minds. She used to teach me things around nursing while I got her ready for bed. Thoughts go out to Alice's family.

I first met Alice when we were in nursing training together at Edmonton General Hospital. She was a nurse at heart with great compassion and a sense of duty.
Alice loved to attend every one of our EGH Class of 1952 nursing reunions and catch up with all of her classmates. She remembered everything about everybody so we always had a great laugh and a great visit when we would get together.
Whenever I’d visit Alice at Bow View Manor, I marvelled at how well she accepted her illness and never let it get her down, and as others have said – no complaining allowed.
Fondly remembered,
Anne Pawelek
Michelle and members of Alice's family
We were very sad to hear of the death of Alice. Our paths crossed many times. Annette DeChamplain was a close family friend so we would often see Alice with Annette . Alice was at Staywell Manor when Harvey's mother was there so we would visit both of them. When she moved to Bow View, Jeanne would visit her aunt, Florence Longpre, and Alice.
We will remember her warm smiles. Even though her body was failing, her mind was so sharp. She would always remember our last conversation and she would update us on the latest happenings of her family members. She was so proud of all of you. Alice will be missed very much.
However, we can see her playing bridge in heaven and walking through beautiful gardens. We know she is at peace and will watch over all of you from heaven.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will have a mass said for her at Ste Famille Parish.
With our love, Jeanne Lefebvre and Harvey Olsen.
Mrs Ranks (as all of us referred to her as) was one tough lady. She always had that twinkle in her eye and smirk on her face that let us know that she knew exactly what we were up to! Sincere sympathies to the Ranks family from Jay, Jen and Matt Todesco.
Sending prayers and love to the entire Ranks family, Alice was an amazing lady and I know you will miss her, you were all so good to her, love the Racz’s
