Obituary of Colleen ‘Girlie’ Mary EAGLE PLUME

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colleen “Girlie” Eagle Plume. Colleen was called home on Friday, March 12, 2021, at the age of 60 years, at the South Health Campus in Calgary.

Colleen was survived by her three children whom she loved dearly, her “kiddo” Stephanie (Keith), her “baby girl” Bobbi-Jo (Justin), and her baby “buddy” Bradley (Soraka); and the light of her life for the past five years, her grandson her “King” Cassius Claude.

Along with her children and grandson, Colleen is survived by her loving mother Vera Eagle Plume, her siblings, Elroy SR Panther Bone and Verona (Nealin) King; her adopted siblings, Joe Panther Bone, Dwight (Emily) Panther Bone, Mike Panther Bone, Treena WolfLeg and Francine Himmelspeck; her auntie Justine Stimson, the father of her two younger children Bob Cummer, her mother-in-law Faye Beazley, her special nephews, Travis (Allesha) Olds, Cyril (Jacklyn) Olds, Elroy JR (Sheralynn) Panther Bone, Jarrett (Beth) Panther Bone, and Donovan King; special nieces, Amber White Quills, Dakota (Cody) Panther Bone, and Alicia King; her long time close friends, Audrey Pelliter, Sally Vivier, and Norma and Terri Three Eagles. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Colleen comes from a very large family and a lifetime of friends and connections. We are truly sorry if we missed anyone.

Colleen was predeceased by her grandparents, Charles and Louise Panther Bone and William and Lily Eagle Plume; her father Claude Eagle Plume, her great uncle Jim Takes The Gun Strong, her aunties, Ruth Panther Bone, Margaret Morning Owl, Kathleen Panther Bone, Valentine Matheson, Cecil (Albert) Wolf Child, Eva (Edward) Spotted Bull, and Emma (George) Many Feathers; her uncles Michael (Loretta) Panther Bone and Sandy Eagle Plume; adopted brothers, Kenny “Bones” Panther Bone and Tony Himmelspeck; adopted sisters, Dolly Panther Bone, Tina Morning Owl, May Morning Owl, Pearline Panther Bone, and Penny ManyGuns; her grandson Dominick Daniel Stewart, special nieces, Louise Panther Bone and Tiffany Water Chief; the father of her first-born Steven White Quills, her close long-time friends, Gloria Southwind, Kim Yellowsun, Roberta Wolf Child and Ben Garnham.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North Calgary, AB) on Monday, March 22, 2021, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
