Obituary of Jessie (Joyce) YOUNG

March 16, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Miss Jessie (Joyce) Young passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the age of 101.

She was born in Prestwick, Scotland and served with W.R.N.S from 1942 to 1946.  In 1947, Jessie joined Air Canada retiring in 1980.

Joyce was an avid golfer. She was a member of the Calgary Golf and Country Club, The Royal Canadian Legion and a longtime member of St Andrew's Presbyterian Church.

Joyce loved a good game of bridge and played several times a week up until recent years. She travelled across Canada and had a wonderful experience travelling round the world for 3 months on a trip of a lifetime.

Joyce is survived by her nephew Douglas Young, niece Coral Tomlinson; and several great-nieces and nephews in Scotland. She was predeceased by her three sisters and one brother
