Obituary of Simon SCHWENGLER

March 18, 2021 – Airdrie, Alberta

Simon Schwengler, of Beiseker, AB, passed away peacefully at the Airdrie Bethany Care Center, on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at the age of 103 years.

Simon was born to Gabriel and Eva Schwengler on July 31, 1917. He spent most of his life farming in the Beiseker area and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Farming and cattle was his passion.

He will be dearly missed by all of his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, along with his friends and the workers at the Bethany Care Center. Simon was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and their spouses.

A Private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (corner of 4th Street and 2nd Avenue, Beiseker, Alberta) on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Honourary Pallbearers, Eddie Kiprick, Mary Hempel, Frank Schwengler, Rose Miller, and Alice Schmaltz; active pallbearers for the service are, Harold Kiprick, Ted Schwengler, Raymond Miller, Don Miller,  Shirley Hempel, and Theresa Hagel.

The family would like to thank Bethany Care Center for taking care of our dear uncle for many years.
