Obituary of Rodeleana Verna “Faith” DIXON

Rodeleana Verna “Faith” Dixon was called home by our Creator on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the age of 37 years.

Faith had a good heart and was always smiling and laughing. She was a compassionate and kind person who was always respectful of her elders. Faith was a good traditional woman who loved beadwork and tanning with her late grandmother. She enjoyed nature and camping. Family was everything to Faith, especially her beloved son Malin and her nephew Dominic. These were the two most precious boys in her life. She always tried to make the best of everything.

Faith is survived by her son Malin Royta, her special nephew Dominic, three nieces, Ristna, Payshence, and Morningstar; her special aunt’s charm, Naomia. She grew up with her Uncle Healey, and her friend Punky, and all the nieces and nephews and friends she grew up with in Morley. She had a very close bond with her grandpa, Sykes Powderface. She really loved her baby sister, and she called her “My Baby” like two cubes that can’t be separated, they are like glue lol. That’s how I see my two daughters, the oldest and youngest. She adored her nephews, Jonas and Traevan.  She is also survived by her common-law spouse Ira Wesley, her mother Verna (Darren), granddaughters Brittany and Gracie; her siblings, Wade (Juliana), Tywacey (Chantel), Gatine (Katie-Lynn), Cherlaine (Kenneth), Darrylene (Kaylee); numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family. We apologize if we have missed anyone.

Faith was predeceased by her father Roderick, sisters, LaToya and Delena; brother Roddy, her grandparents, Christine and Gatine Dixon.

A Wake will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for up to twenty attendees at a time due to Covid-19 restrictions. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB).  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Faith’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
