Obituary of Patricia (Pat) Bridget McALEESE (nee Gargan)

Gone but not forgotten

Born in Tullyhue, Tandragee, County Armagh, Northern Ireland, Patricia passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at the age of 102 years.

Mom spent her early years in Tandragee, before marrying Dad on March 31, 1943. In 1949 they moved to Armagh City where they lived until immigrating to Canada on March 31, 1975.

Mom returned to Ireland many times to visit family, her sisters, Lily, Annie and Peggy, and brother John as well as many nieces and nephews. She made friends very easily but outlived most of them leaving it a lonely time for her, especially with Covid-19.

Mom loved her family more than anything else and is survived by her daughter Ethnie Kokosa, and sons, Mike (Becky) and Paul (Joan), her four grandchildren Jacquie, Yvonne, Shauna and Chris. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1988, son Gerard in 2003, and granddaughter Karen in 1980.
