Obituary of June Ann Girard

November 28, 1948 – Windsor Ontario

April 2, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

June Girard, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at the age of 72 years.

She was a volunteer and a great supporter of Ride for Sight Canada. For a number of years she was a very proud owner and operator of Lucky's Pizza in Crossfield, Alberta. She enjoyed garage sales with her kids, playing cards with Kim and their friends; she always loved school functions with her grandchildren, and painting ceramics.

June accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of the birth of her 3 children and picking up and moving to Alberta with 3 kids as a single mom.

June loved her children and grandchildren, she never missed a family function, and very much enjoyed getting family together for BBQ or birthdays.

She will be most remembered for her being a very loving and generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, partner and friend, June touched many lives.

June is survived by her children and their spouses, Joe and Deanna McLarty of  Airdrie , Jason and Angela McLarty of  Airdrie, and Ken and Sherry Berge of Calgary; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her partner Kim Gotby;  three brothers and sisters-in-law Bill and Liza, Bob and Luanne, Ken and Pat all of Windsor, Ontario; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Private Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 2:00p.m.
