Obituary of Irene PATZEL (nee Loosley)

February 18, 1935 – Kenora, Ontario
April 6, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Irene Patzel, beloved wife of the late Ernest (Ernie) Patzel, of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the age of 86 years.

Irene was a matriarch who loved creating memories with family and friends, capturing and archiving them, and sharing stories with her beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling, golfing, and camping across the country with her friends from the Happy Wanderers Trailer Club, whom she remained in contact with for life. Like a beautiful butterfly dancing in the breeze, Irene was joyful no matter what she’d endured. Her warm-hearted nature and bright sense of humour endeared her to everyone she came in contact with.
