Condolences
Dear Sharon, Cameron, Sue, Rob, Elizabeth and Kevan -
I was deeply saddened by the news of Mavis' passing. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family and loved ones. You are in my heart and prayers. Mavis was such a wonderful and elegant lady. She had a great spirit for life and a most engaging smile and laugh. Our memories of Mavis will last forever; and will bring us tears from time to time; but mostly, they will bring us shared moments of great joy and laughter. I have so many fond memories of Mavis with her entire family; attending 78 Fraser Highlander and Military events, polo matches, birthday celebrations, house parties and holidays over many, many years. I was even lucky enough to escort Mavis to many of these formal activities. It was always such a great pleasure and so much fun. Thank you to the entire family for letting me share these great memories with you and Mavis. I will miss her terribly. A Gaelic Blessing for Mavis and her loving family ... "May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand."
Love,
Glenn
I’m a close friend of Rob and Sue for many years prior to them being married. When Rob and I were young men Sue would invite Rob over for dinner and occasionally I would tag along and I met Mavis and thru the years would see Mavis numerous times. One particular time Sue invited Rob and I over to one of her cousins places in a high rise condo in Calgary and a bunch of Sues family including Mavis were there and we preceded to enjoy Cheese plates and Wine but what was crazy we all started making paper airplanes and flying them off the balcony was just an excellent time lots of fun and laughter and Mavis was right in there lol.I have many more fond memories and Mavis always treated me so nice and was very kind She always had stories and had that wonderful flair for the dramatics with that sparkle in her eye.
My thoughts are with you Rob and Stu.
Always a friend

I always enjoyed going over to Rob and Sue's and seeing Mavis! She had great stories but more importantly she always put a smile on my face. :)
Fond memories of sharing great games of golf with Mavis and the gang at Douglasdale. Sincere sympathies and condolences extended to the family.
Respectfully,

Dear Susan and Sharon,
I have such fond memories of your mum when we were growing up in Palliser. The word that comes to mind is "fun". I remember her delightful laugh and smile and endless cheer. She brought such joy to our home and especially to my mother who was fortunate to count her as one of her dearest friends. She is remembered with love.
