Clayton (Clay) CONRADSON

Obituary of Clayton (Clay) Kenneth CONRADSON

September 26, 1938 – Buck Creek, Alberta
April 7, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

Clay was a great role model and exemplified the importance of faith, integrity, loyalty, hard work and play.  From starting his own Real Estate Company and being a member of CREB for over forty-seven years, to becoming a grain farmer, to developing subdivisions, infills, and various other projects, he embraced entrepreneurship and loved being his own boss. You could always appreciate his wit and humor, healthy skepticism, and his ability to fix, build and sell anything. We will fondly reminisce of the times we sang along with him as he strummed his favorite Johnny Cash tunes and Christmas carols with the grand kids – our memories of him will be deeply cherished.

Clay will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-four years, Violet; sons, Brent (Heather) and Blaine (Tracy); grandchildren, Ben, Jesse, Hali, Andrena, Tayte; brother Ray (Eleanor); sister-in-law Katie (Bryan); and many close nephews, nieces, and long-time friends. Clay was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Wilma, brother Lloyd, and granddaughter Sara.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date once COVID restrictions have eased. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Clay’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Brenda Strafford Foundation to support their research efforts in Alzheimer Dementia care at the University of Calgary: https://thebsf.ca/ways-to-give/donate/online-donation-form.html

We also would like to thank the staff and care providers at the Cambridge and Bow View Manors who provided Clay with exceptional care and compassion in his last few years of living with Dementia.
