Condolences
I was sad to hear of my Nana Sarson’s passing. May you safely arrive in a better place and be reunited with your parents and my father. My condolences to all your family in this difficult time.
Sincerely, Mary Jackson
Aunt Bo was also my Godmother and she will be missed. We stayed in touch over the years and she would write some family history and stories from her childhood. Christmas and birthday cards with photos and news were always welcomed and much appreciated. Stories from when she lived in Australia and danced while hanging out clothes as there were snakes and spiders and nasty creatures in the grass. When her son, Robert, was doing basic training in Nova Scotia... she made sure he visited Pictou County and met relatives and had a look around. She read about Mother Teresa having only two dresses...so impressed she cleaned her closet. I took those skirts dancing as she wished. Such sweet memories... she had the best laugh... I treasure that memory. Love, Sheila
Mom's favourite song was The Green Green Grass of Home. She said the lyrics reminded her of a time she went home: "The old home town looks the same, as I step down from the train. And there to meet me is my mama and papa... Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly... It's good to touch the green green grass of home."
You're finally home now, mom. Your parents, your brothers and sisters, Jim and Doug and Karen, they are all there to greet you, smiling, with loving, open arms. Soar headlong through the universe, ma, fly among the stars to the gates of heaven but always remember the soft green grass back home. Love you. Rest in peace, mom. Love, Caroline
