April 23, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Antonia Piscionieri of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the age of 65 years.

Antonia was born in Staletti, Catanzaro, Italy on September 30, 1955. She immigrated to Calgary, AB in 1967 along with her parents and siblings where she graduated from St. Francis High School.

Antonia accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for creating the best holiday moments with no detail that could catch her off guard. Every holiday resulted in a masterpiece of Hallmark standards.

Her most memorable vacation was when she visited Hawaii with her daughter and met Paulie the Parrot. She also spoke of visiting Paris and returning to Italy for multiple trips, and her time visiting Switzerland.

Antonia’s favourite saying was ce sera sera, whatever will be will be!

She will be most remembered for her kindness and willingness to help anyone, to never take advantage of anyone, her smile, sense of humour and ability to lift the spirits of everyone around her; Her strength and her ability to be a leader without having the same tools as those around her; To create the best out of any environment or situation; To make everyone around her better and hold everyone to a moral standard that was unwavering, to always do the right thing; To truly hold a heart of pure love.

Antonia is survived by her Mother Concetta  Laporta, her life partner Giuseppe Piscionieri, daughter Concetta, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Antonio Piscionieri, Francesco (Ashleigh) Piscionieri of Calgary, AB; and two grandchildren, Tieso and Livio Piscionieri of Calgary, AB.
