Condolences
I have been away a bit and just earned of Keith's passing. I first met Keith when I was the chuckwagon coordinator down at the Stampede Chuckwagon barns in 2000. We like he did with everyone, formed an instant relationship that continued right through to the last stampede in 2019 when I ran into him down at the Barns. What a true gentle man and a class class act. I can best describe him by saying that whomever crossed paths with Keith on any given day..left that encounter with a smile on their face. What a great gift to possess. I know he touched all the drivers and all the hundreds or thousands of people that he took on his patented Barn tours. Everyone always had time for Keith, because he always had time for us.

So sorry to hear about Drutheringfrum, which was his nick name many years ago. Many a laugh with him. He invited me up to the eye in the sky during the Chucks one evening. Up the many levels of back stairs into the booth overlooking EVERYTHING..
Drutheringfrum gave me a big hug then a kiss on the lips............. and he had a chaw of tobacco behind his lower lip............ I never knew at the time......... but it was soon noticeable. His details in the stories of the various chuckwagons and historical races we wonderful to hear. I do hope somewhere there is a recording of them................ Big hugs to you Marilyn Wini Jones
What a great man
If only there was more of those great volunteers in everyone’s lives
He will never be replaced or forgotten
Thanks to his family for letting him help everyone become who they are and have the lives we have

I was saddened to learn of Keith's recent passing, and I have been reflecting on the many years we worked together from the 1970's to the 90's. From Digitech and Texaco to his consulting business, Schema Systems, and other ventures, he was scrupulously fair and honest in business while always maintaining a terrific sense of humour and a ready smile. It was a pleasure and privilege to have worked with him in those years. He was also great fun to hang out with and I am forever grateful to him for introducing me to Dim Sum in Chinatown for lunch hours.
RIP my friend, you are gone too soon, but you left a big impression on all who knew you.
Dear Marilyn and Family,
The splendid memorial video captures the essence of Kieth and the many hats he wore but particularly his dedication to family.
I have so many warm memories of time spent with Marilyn and Keith from the time of your marriage to the last time we shared stories over lunch at the Glencoe Club.
My deepest condolences for the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. May your memories sustain you through this time of deep grief.
With love,
Sandi Carlile
Keith was our neighbour and a lovely man to visit with! I always enjoyed his stories; he always remembered our kids and all their activities. My youngest loved how he dressed up as a bunny at Halloween
I loved his stories of the Stampede and his grandkids !
He was a lovely man, My condolences to your family

Dear Marilyn, Neil, Jill and Ian,
What a wonderful video, with a great song and great memories. Words can’t express how saddened we were to hear of your loss. May your hearts soon be filled with even more wonderful memories of happy times spent together as you celebrate a life well lived. We were very fortunate to have you as our “neighbours across the alley” when we were living in Kelvin Grove.

Keith was a wonderful brother-in-law to Richard and me, and a loving and kind uncle to Chris and Greg. He was an integral part of our family. We will miss him so much.
Sending Marilyn, Neil, Jill and Donald, Ian and Lisa and our great nieces and nephew our love. Maureen and Richard
Keith was a real family man and loved to have us all over for dinner. He took pride in barbecuing the steak or carving the roast beef and made sure our wine glasses were never empty. We will miss his visits to Victoria where he loved being near the ocean and eating at his favourite restaurants. We have so many great memories of our brother in law, Keith.
What a beautiful soul! Sending the whole family love and strength.
Keith was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a great brother-in-law who cherished family. We always enjoyed Keith’s company when he and Marilyn came to Victoria and when we visited Calgary.
Keith was my brother-in-law and, for many years, the patriarch of our family. He was a stellar father, grandfather, uncle and great uncle to a number of children, some now grown up with families of their own. We spent many holidays and birthdays together with all our families, many at Keith and Marilyn's home. More recently, Keith and Marilyn would come to our place in the foothills to visit, play cards and enjoy the solitude that getting out of the city can bring. l was looking forward to hosting them again when he recuperated enough to make a trip down. I cannot imagine life without him in it.
We were very fortunate to have someone so kind and thoughtful in our lives. Our condolences to Marilyn, Neil, Jill and Ian and their spouses and children. We will hopefully get-together sometime this summer to celebrate and reflect on a life well-lived.
Love,

Sending our condolences to you and your family.
Every year we looked forward to seeing and visiting with Keith at the Calgary Stampede Chuckwagon Auction and the Stampede itself. He was so proud of being a part of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. He truly believed in making it a better place for all to partake in.
Keith always made us feel so welcome on the grounds. We had many a visit. We brought several folks from all around the world through our barn.
Keith will be forever remembered in our hearts.
Hugs to you all. Embrace all the wonderful experiences and memories of your loved one.

Marilyn and Family:
Most of us in our lifetimes have met individuals that stand out from all of the others that pass through our lives. In the Fall of 1964 many of us who went to Carleton University that year were lucky enough to run into and get to know a young Westerner who for most of us, stood out immediately, as someone special. He became a valued friend too many of us and that friendship turned into a commitment from Keith over very long distances and for many, many years. He had a special touch with people and took a huge interest in the lives of everyone he met. He was curious, funny, caring, supportive, always positive and interested. He loved to spend time with all of us individually and many times as a group and his Carleton U attachments remained strong and personal throughout his life. We all grew up together and all of us that were lucky enough to share Keith's friendship were enriched as a consequence. He made all of us better people for having known him.
Our thoughts are with you on his passing. He was a wonderful friend! We will miss him deeply but he will stay with us for the duration.
