Condolences
Kim...I am very saddened by the loss of your beautiful Mom....I just found out and wanted to reach out. I know this must have been a very difficult year or two for you and Ryan and your kids, as well as for your brother and his family. I want you to know how very sorry I am to hear of this very sad news. I loved your Mom - she was such a kind, caring , gentle soul. She worked very hard to make sure she could enjoy her home and her life...She built a fantastic business that was enjoyed by sooo many of us girls...It gave us a place to try our hand at some fun crafts while having a girls night out with some laughter along the way. Nancy was always there to help out in any way and lend an ear if anyone felt like talking out some of their worries...she was a good friend and kind person to everyone who walked through those doors as well as her own at home. We talk about her often and this was sad news to hear. Her “ kids with fur” really were lucky to have her....she made it very clear how much she cared for all animals...Her kindness and caring was spread to everyone. I truly do miss those days and talked often about stopping in to visit with her...She will be missed and she is very loved.
Please know that we have you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Love Sharon and Steve

We have all lost a dear part of our world. Nancy was a good friend for many years and we had many a good laugh, a few tears and shared dinners on Monday nights. I feel lost without being able to pick up the phone or drop by the shop for a visit. Kim and Ian and all the rest of the family - please always remember how much she loved you all. She was such a proud Grandma and Mother and you all meant the world to her. I'm so happy Sambo has found a new home with you and know you will be a kind and loving family for him. My thanks to you all for the kind and loving care you gave to her during this long and trying time.
We have known Nancy since August 1975. Over the years we have lived in the same cities and shared many memorable times together, as families, co-workers and as friends. I cannot believe I am unable to find any photos of us all together. Neither of us were big photo takers, but there are some here somewhere. Today you will just have to rely on my memory, feeble as it is. Nancy was an amazing person, a hero of mine. "Just do it," she would say. And I am still trying to do just that. Her artistic abilities abounded in several areas, but her passion became ceramics and she eventually set up her own shop here in Calgary. She became well known in the ceramic world and taught many to become teachers. She started off by teaching classes in her basement in Oakville, On in 1978, where a group of us ladies would meet once a week. Over the years I have received pieces made by her as Christmas gifts which I will treasure forever. Thank you for being my friend for all these years. Coffee was always on and your smile was always welcoming, which will be the one of many memories we will always keep in our hearts.
Our deepest and heartfelt sympathy goes out to Kim, Ryan, Darwyn, and Lexi, to Ian, Lorie, Danielle, and James, to Shirley and her family, as well as Nancy's nieces and their families. Hopefully all those wonderful memories made over the years help you all to work through your grief. Nancy's Christmas Eve drop ins were legendary, she went too soon. We will miss her.
Love,
Tom & Alfie

In the short span of time I knew Nancy, I became very fond of her. Always kind, always thoughtful. She left a big impression on me. Reading the loving words her family prepared in memory of her, confirms what a wonderful woman she was for so many. I will always remember her kind and gentle nature. We will surely her. Prayers to Nancy's family during this most difficult time.
Kim,
Our condolences to you and your family.
With kind regards,
Kerri & Mike
So very sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. My sincere sympathies to her family. Nancy was a special lady and I always loved seeing her when attending card classes at her shop. Over the years, I had the opportunity to drop by her shop on occasion to pick up an Avon order or a card set if I had missed a class and it was always a pleasure to chat with. She also generously shared her magazines some of which I received and enjoyed. May your memories of her, times shared with her and her acts of kindness remain with you and help you through this difficult time. RIP Nancy! You will be missed.
To: Kim and all of her family,
I just want to take this moment to extend to you all my deepest and sincerest condolences. I would also like to extend my sincere blessings to you all through this trying time but you will come through. I lost my mother last year so I understand. Nancy was a one of a kind person; she was compassionate and patient and was always there with an ear to listen and advice to give when asked. We had many great conversations about our kitty fur babies and may laughs as well. I will be grateful to have had her as part of my life and my memories.I will miss her being in the world.

Sending love and my heartfelt sympathies. Very sorry that you have to go through this. She’ll be missed for sure. May the memories and the wonderful years shared together comfort you in your hour of need. Sending you a hug ❤️
There are no words that can adequately express my sorrow for you and your family Kim. Your mom was one of a kind. Everyone that came in contact with her feels so lucky to have had the opportunity to know her. She will be greatly missed. I will remember her laughter and I made her snort her coffee more than once, as she did to me! So many good memories. Her favourite refrain to me was "Poor Stuart" - which the class would echo. It became a running joke. She made everyone's day just a little brighter, just a little lighter and she will be remembered in our hearts forever.
