Obituary of Sonia Ann DAVENPORT

January 30, 1939 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

April 26, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Sonia Ann Davenport of Saskatoon, SK, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021.

She is survived by her children Sandra and Dean. Her husband of 58 years, Bill Davenport, predeceased her in 2020.

Sonia taught grade one in Saskatoon for many years and found great joy in teaching young minds. She had a love of being outside and especially enjoyed long country drives, bird watching, and looking at barns with her family. She had an incredible sewing talent and found joy in giving home-made gifts to her family and friends. She loved cooking traditional Ukrainian meals and having friends and family over for supper.

In the summer she spent most of her time in her backyard swimming, gardening, and enjoying the days with Bill. Sonia was an incredibly gentle – sweet soul who always saw the best in people and was there to help whenever the need arose. She will be greatly missed but has joined her husband Bill for eternity.
