Obituary of Michael John David BURKE

Mike Burke, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the age of 63 years.

Mike was born in England on December 31, 1957.

He started work with the City of Calgary in 2002 as a transit operator, also becoming a Union Stewart. He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 583 for nineteen years.

Mike accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his daughter AJ; she brought him so much joy and love to his life.

He loved going to the mountains, or just sitting by a river with his little girl.  Mike also really enjoyed taking AJ to the movies. He loved going and supporting the Calgary NorthStars AAA hockey teams yearly.

Mike’s passion was to help people as much as he could. He will be most remembered for how generous and helping he was towards others.

Mike is survived by his daughter Ajencia Burke (AJ) of Calgary, AB, and son Ryan Burke of Ontario.

Mike was predeceased by mother, Bridget McMillan of Penticton, BC.
